Class Descriptions:

Children's Classes:
 
Creative Ballet (Ages 3-4):
Coordination, musicality and strength are learned and practiced through creative imagery, storytelling, games, basic ballet steps and positions. This is a great class for young dancers who love to move, dance and express themselves.
 
Pre-Ballet (Ages 4-5):
Dancers will begin to learn the basic prin­ciples and technique of ballet. They will learn positions and steps and execute basic ballet choreography to classical music. This will build the student’s ear for musicality and rhythm teaching strength and coordination. Dancers are encour­aged to express themselves and explore the joy of dance through foundation-building ballet technique.
 
Ballet I (Ages 6-8):
Young dancers practice their strength and coordination through basic ballet movement. They will start at the barre and move into the center learning a brief ballet combination in each class. They will begin to learn turns and jumps as well as basic ballet steps and choreography.
 
Ballet II (Ages 7-9):
For students who are continuing their studies in ballet. Ballet technique and musicality are stressed in this class as the student learns how to express him or herself through dance. Grace, coordina­tion, strength and musicality are the focus as they practice barre and ballet choreography.
 
Ballet III (Ages 10 & Up):
For students who are beginner/advanced beginner in ballet. Dancers build upon their ballet vocabulary as they build strength and skill. At this age and in this level, if students have previous ballet technique and experience, they may be moved up to a more advanced class. The dancers will continue to learn more ad­vanced choreography and technique as they build upon their ballet foundation.
 
Gymnastics Beginners (Ages 4-5):
An introduction to basic gymnastics skills, emphasizing strength, balance, and coordination. Students will develop skills in floor exercises, balance beam, and tumbling.
 
Gymnastics Beginners Level I & II (Ages 9 & Up):
Gymnastics skills, emphasizing strength, balance and coordination. Students will develop skills in floor exercises, balance beam, and tumbling.
 
Gymnastics Level II & III (Ages 5-7):
For students who graduated the Basic Gymnastics class.
 
Advanced Gymnastics Level IV & Up (Ages 7 & Up):
For students who graduated Gymnastics Level II & III class.
 
Gymnastics Level V & Up (Ages 10 & Up):
For students who graduated Gymnastics Level IV class.
 
Hip Hop & Jazz Combo:
This class gives young dancers a chance to express themselves to age appropri­ate, contemporary music through dance, aerobic and pedestrian movement. They will feel like they are dancing in a Disney Channel music video by the end of this class while practicing basic coordination and rhythm technique.


Adult Classes:

Total Body Sculpting:
This total body conditioning class involves the usage of weights, bands and exercise balls. This class will help add variety to your strength training routines. Strengthen your body and protect your joints as you improve body awareness.
 
Mommies & Babies Pilates:
Bring your baby with you as you increase strength and flexibility through Pilates, to help loose the baby bump.
 
Intense Circuit & Interval Training:
This intense multi-impact class, will help develop your cardiovascular fitness and enhance your muscular endurance. Cardiovascular, muscular endurance and functional training segments will work you out!
 
Pilates:
This class incorporates techniques that increase strength and flexibility, while focusing on proper alignment and core stability. These exercises focus on lengthening muscles and maintaining alignment. The emphasis is placed on form and control, and is aimed at increasing body awareness.
 
Mommies & Babies Body Sculpting:
Use your baby as a weight! This class is a total body sculpting class, that allows you to bring your baby and involve him or her in your workout.
 
Step Aerobics, Circuit Training & Body Conditioning:
This high-energy step class will include choreographed routines, aerobic circuits, as well as total body conditioning with the use of weights and bands.
 
Belly Dance Party:
This class is designed for beginners and more advanced dancers, introducing Belly Dance movements  in a fun, inviting "party" atmosphere! It incorporates isolation moves for upper and lower body, shimmies, and traveling moves that will be utilized in a choreographed routine.
 
Kickboxing & Bootcamp Combo:
This extreme cardio workout will include kicks, jabs, hooks and uppercuts, as well as incorporating Bootcamp drills!
 
Interval, Circuit, Cardio & Body Sculpting Workout:
This intense multi-impact class, will help develop your cardiovascular fitness and enhance your muscular endurance. Cardiovascular, muscular endurance and functional training segments will work you out!
